The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Amethi, under the Zonal Recruiting Office (ZRO) Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, organised a youth outreach programme at Sainik School Amethi aimed at motivating students to consider a career in the Indian Armed Forces.

The programme featured an interactive session with Major General Manish Kumar, YSM, SM, Zonal Recruiting Officer (UP & Uttarakhand), who encouraged the cadets to pursue a life defined by leadership, discipline and service to the nation. Addressing the students, the General Officer emphasised the importance of cultivating perseverance, integrity and strong leadership qualities, which form the foundation of successful officers in the Armed Forces.

During the session, cadets actively participated in discussions and asked questions about military training, life in the services and various entry pathways into the Armed Forces. Drawing from his extensive service experience, Maj Gen Manish Kumar highlighted the significance of physical fitness, mental resilience and academic excellence for those aspiring to join the military.

He also acknowledged the vital role played by Sainik Schools in nurturing future military leaders by instilling values such as discipline, patriotism and resilience among young students.
The interaction concluded on an inspiring note, with the cadets expressing enthusiasm and determination to prepare themselves for a future in the Armed Forces, reaffirming the success of the outreach initiative in motivating the next generation of leaders.
