Lt Gen P S Shekhawat, Chief of Staff of Sapta Shakti Command, visited the Command Pre-Staff Course being conducted at Hisar Military Station under the aegis of DOT Division and organised by the Ever Onwards Brigade. The visit formed part of the Indian Army’s continued focus on strengthening professional military education and preparing officers for higher command and staff responsibilities.
During the visit, Lt Gen Shekhawat interacted with the student officers undergoing the course and addressed them on the significance of the examination and its role in shaping their professional growth within the Army. He shared valuable insights on effective preparation strategies and emphasised the importance of developing a structured approach toward studying and mastering military subjects.

The senior officer also spoke about the art of answer writing, highlighting that clarity of thought, analytical ability, and concise expression are critical factors in performing well in competitive military examinations. He encouraged the officers to focus on understanding concepts thoroughly and presenting their knowledge in a well-organised and professional manner.

Lt Gen Shekhawat further emphasised the importance of time management during both preparation and examination phases. He advised the officers to adopt disciplined study habits and prioritise their efforts to maximise learning and performance.

The Chief of Staff also highlighted the crucial role played by Directing Staff in guiding, mentoring, and shaping the professional development of officers. Their mentorship, he noted, plays a significant role in preparing future leaders of the Indian Army.
The visit reinforced the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing well-trained, intellectually capable, and professionally competent leaders who are prepared to handle the complex operational and strategic challenges of modern warfare.
