Chief of the Naval Staff Dinesh K Tripathi, accompanied by Mrs Shashi Tripathi, President of the Navy Wives Welfare Association, arrived at the Southern Naval Command on April 19, 2026.

On arrival, the CNS was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Garuda, marking the formal commencement of his visit.

During the visit, Admiral Tripathi is scheduled to:
- Attend the Annual Communication Conference
- Preside over the Annual General Meeting and Governing Council Meeting of the Navy Foundation
- Interact with personnel and families of the Southern Naval Command
