A total of 909 Agniveers successfully completed their military training and marched across the symbolic ‘Antim Pag’ at the Mahar Regimental Centre on May 30, 2026, marking their formal induction into the Indian Army.
The Passing Out Parade (POP) was reviewed by the General Officer Commanding of the PMP Sub Area, who congratulated the young soldiers on successfully completing months of demanding military training and transforming themselves into disciplined, motivated and combat-ready warriors.
During the ceremony, the reviewing officer praised the Agniveers for their exceptional drill performance, immaculate turnout and high standards of professionalism displayed on the parade ground.
The event was attended by proud parents and family members who witnessed the culmination of the recruits’ training journey and their transition into soldiers ready to serve the nation.
Officials stated that the training programme focused on physical endurance, military skills, discipline, weapon handling, fieldcraft and leadership development, preparing the Agniveers to meet the operational demands of modern warfare.
The crossing of the ‘Antim Pag’ symbolised the completion of training and the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the young soldiers as they embark on their careers in service of the nation.
The ceremony concluded with the newly inducted Agniveers reaffirming their commitment to uphold the highest traditions, values and ethos of the Indian Army while serving the country with honour, courage and dedication.
