Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the South Western Command, visited the DOT Division to review its operational preparedness and assess initiatives aimed at enhancing combat capability and mission effectiveness.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the division’s operational readiness and ongoing efforts to maintain a high level of preparedness in response to emerging security challenges.

Lt Gen Manjinder Singh also interacted with troops who showcased a range of indigenous innovations developed to strengthen battlefield effectiveness, improve operational efficiency, and support mission accomplishment. He appreciated the innovation-driven approach adopted by the formation and encouraged continued efforts towards self-reliance and technological advancement.
A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Training Node, designed to enhance the Indian Army’s preparedness against evolving drone threats and strengthen counter-drone operational capabilities.

The facility will provide specialised training in detecting, tracking, and neutralising hostile unmanned aerial systems, reflecting the Army’s growing emphasis on modern capability development and future battlefield requirements.
Commending all ranks for their professionalism, innovation, and commitment to excellence, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh praised the formation for maintaining high standards of operational readiness while embracing technological transformation.

The Army Commander also presented awards to deserving personnel in recognition of their outstanding performance and dedication to duty.
Officials stated that the visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s focus on innovation, indigenous solutions, and capability enhancement to ensure mission success in an increasingly technology-driven operational environment.
