The Attestation Parade of Agniveer Batch-08 was conducted at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre (PRTC), Bengaluru, on 20 June 2026, marking a significant milestone in the military journey of the young recruits.
A total of 469 Agniveers were formally attested during the ceremony after successfully completing their prescribed military training, transforming them into disciplined and mission-ready soldiers of the Indian Army.
The parade was reviewed by Brigadier Yogesh Sharma, Commandant, Parachute Regiment Training Centre, who inspected the contingent and congratulated the Agniveers on their successful completion of training.

The ceremony showcased impressive standards of drill, discipline and military bearing, reflecting the rigorous training imparted at one of the Indian Army’s premier training establishments. The newly attested soldiers demonstrated their readiness to uphold the values and traditions of the Indian Army through their professionalism and commitment.
Addressing the Agniveers, Brigadier Sharma commended them for their hard work, perseverance and dedication throughout the training period. He encouraged the young soldiers to continue striving for professional excellence and to contribute meaningfully to the operational effectiveness of the Indian Army.
The Commandant emphasised the importance of continuous learning, discipline and commitment to duty, urging the recruits to uphold the highest standards of soldierly conduct as they embark on their military careers.
The Attestation Parade symbolised the successful transition of the recruits into members of the Indian Army, ready to serve the nation with courage, honour and dedication.

Family members, instructors and senior military officials witnessed the ceremony, celebrating the achievement of the Agniveers and recognising their determination to answer the call of national service.
