NCC Training School (NTS) Behala showcased its advanced flying and drone training capabilities during an inspection conducted by the Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Kolkata, under the aegis of the West Bengal and Sikkim Directorate.
During the visit, the Commanding Officer of 1 West Bengal Air Squadron NCC presented a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s advanced flying training operations and the state-of-the-art Drone Training Node. The briefing highlighted the cutting-edge capabilities of the Air Wing NCC in providing modern aviation-oriented training to cadets.

The inspection focused on assessing training standards, infrastructure and initiatives aimed at enhancing the technical and leadership skills of cadets. The Drone Training Node, equipped to impart contemporary unmanned aerial systems training, demonstrated the growing emphasis on technology-driven learning within the NCC framework.
The visiting officer reviewed various aspects of the training programme and appreciated the efforts being undertaken to prepare cadets for future challenges in aviation, technology and leadership domains.

A key highlight of the visit was an interactive session with Permanent Instructor (PI) Staff and NCC cadets. The interaction provided an opportunity to discuss training experiences, aspirations and the role of the NCC in shaping responsible and capable young citizens.
The visit underscored the Air Wing NCC’s commitment to developing skilled aviators, technologically proficient youth and future leaders through a combination of discipline, innovation and practical training.
