Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann, AVSM, VM, assumed charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force on 1 July 2026.
Commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on 16 December 1989, Air Marshal Mann brings with him over three decades of distinguished operational, command and leadership experience. Throughout his illustrious career, he has held several key command and staff appointments across the Indian Air Force.

Prior to taking over the Southern Air Command, he served as the Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) at the Headquarters Western Air Command, where he played a vital role in enhancing operational preparedness and air power capabilities.

As the new Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Air Marshal Mann is expected to further strengthen the operational effectiveness, combat readiness and strategic capabilities of the Southern Air Command, which plays a crucial role in safeguarding India’s southern airspace and maritime interests.
