Jaipur Military Station hosted the Annual Flight Safety Conference 2026 under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command, bringing together senior military leaders, Army Aviation professionals and aviation experts to deliberate on strengthening flight safety, operational readiness and future military aviation capabilities. The conference underscored the Indian Army’s continued focus on maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety while embracing technological advancements to meet evolving operational challenges.

The conference was attended by Lt Gen Vinod Nambiar, SM, Director General Army Aviation, who interacted with Lt Gen Mohit Malhotra, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Sapta Shakti Command (Army Commander). Their interaction highlighted the importance of collaborative leadership in enhancing aviation preparedness, fostering innovation and ensuring mission success across the Army Aviation Corps.

Senior commanders, aviation specialists and subject matter experts participated in detailed deliberations covering a broad spectrum of operational and safety-related issues. Discussions focused on enhancing operational readiness, strengthening aviation safety protocols, adopting emerging technologies and modernising military aviation capabilities to remain prepared for future battlefield requirements.

The conference also served as a platform for participants to exchange operational experiences, analyse best practices and identify measures to further improve flight safety standards across Army Aviation units. Emphasis was placed on learning from operational insights, promoting risk awareness and reinforcing standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient flying operations.

A key highlight of the conference was the emphasis on integrating innovation and advanced technologies into military aviation. Participants explored ways to leverage next-generation aviation systems, digital tools and modern safety practices to improve operational effectiveness while maintaining uncompromising safety standards.
