Lieutenant General Rajan Sharawat, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, handed over command of the prestigious Rising Star Corps to Lieutenant General Akaash Johar, AVSM, following a distinguished tenure marked by operational excellence, steadfast leadership and an unwavering commitment to combat readiness and troop welfare.

During his tenure as Corps Commander, Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat led the formation through a period of heightened operational focus, with the Corps playing a significant role during Operation Sindoor while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and mission readiness.

Under his leadership, the Rising Star Corps continued to strengthen its operational capabilities, enhance combat preparedness and uphold the Indian Army’s enduring ethos of excellence and dedication to national security.

As Lt Gen Akaash Johar assumes command, he inherits one of the Indian Army’s premier operational formations with a legacy of distinguished service.
