Major General Sumit Rana, General Officer Commanding (GOC), PUPSA, visited 40 Company ASC Type D at Meerut to review logistics initiatives and assess the unit’s operational preparedness.
During the visit, Maj Gen Rana inaugurated a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) Bottling Plant and launched ‘PURE’ packaged drinking water, marking an initiative aimed at strengthening self-reliance and improving logistics support.
He also inaugurated a mechanised Group Shed designed to enhance efficiency in logistics operations and released a book focusing on Supplies and Fuel, Oil and Lubricants (FOL).

The initiatives highlighted the emphasis on adopting innovative and efficient solutions within the Army’s logistics framework while strengthening the ability of logistics units to support operational formations.

Maj Gen Rana reviewed the measures undertaken by the unit and underscored the importance of self-reliance, innovation and efficient resource management in maintaining robust and responsive logistics support for the Indian Army.
