Officer Cadets from the Cadets Training Wing (CTW) visited Jaipur Military Station as part of their Mid-Term Hike, gaining valuable exposure to the Indian Army’s evolving operational capabilities, technological advancements and modern military equipment.
During the visit, the cadets were familiarised with next-generation equipment and weapon systems and received insights into the functioning and capabilities of Infantry units and Special Forces. The exposure provided the future officers an opportunity to complement their classroom training with a practical understanding of contemporary military operations and emerging technologies.
The cadets also experienced the rich cultural and historical heritage of Jaipur during the hike, adding a broader dimension to their training programme.
Lieutenant General PS Shekhawat, Chief of Staff, South Western Command, interacted with the Officer Cadets and shared guidance on leadership and professional development. He encouraged them to develop a strong habit of reading, remain committed to the welfare of the personnel they will command and continuously improve their professional knowledge.
Lt Gen Shekhawat particularly emphasised the importance of becoming good human beings and responsible military leaders, reminding the cadets that effective leadership extends beyond professional competence to character, empathy and responsibility towards their troops.
The visit formed part of the Army’s emphasis on providing Officer Cadets with practical exposure and broader learning experiences beyond conventional classroom instruction as they prepare for future leadership responsibilities.
