Udhampur, September 18, 2026: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, accompanied by the GOC of Delta Force, visited the general area of Brattal in Udhampur district to review ongoing counter-terrorism operations and assess the security situation on the ground.
During the visit, the Corps Commander reviewed the evolving security environment, operational dynamics and measures being undertaken by troops to maintain a sustained operational tempo in the region.
The review focused on ensuring a swift, coordinated and decisive response to emerging security threats while maintaining a high degree of operational readiness among formations deployed in the hinterland.
The Corps Commander also commended troops of the White Knight Corps following the successful neutralisation of two terrorists during the ongoing operations. He praised the personnel involved for their resolute action, high morale and commitment while operating in the challenging security environment.
The senior commanders interacted with personnel on the ground and reviewed the operational situation as security forces continued their efforts to counter terrorist activity in the area.
The White Knight Corps, headquartered at Nagrota, is responsible for strategically important areas of the Jammu region and regularly conducts counter-terrorism and security operations in coordination with other security agencies.
The visit underscored the Army’s emphasis on maintaining vigilance, operational preparedness and close coordination among formations deployed in sensitive areas.
