Major General Ramesh Shanmugham, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Kerala & Lakshadweep Directorate, visited the Ernakulam Group Headquarters on 1 November 2025 for an Administrative Inspection. He was warmly received by Commodore Jose Vikas, Group Commander, Ernakulam.
Interaction with Officers, Cadets, and Staff
During his visit, Maj Gen Shanmugham interacted with Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), Cadets, and Civilian Staff, appreciating their professionalism, discipline, and the high standards of training maintained by the Group. He commended their collective efforts in nurturing the youth under the National Cadet Corps and contributing to the organizationโs mission of building future leaders of the nation.

Focus on Safety and Technological Integration
Drawing from his vast military and administrative experience, the ADG emphasized that cadet safety must remain the highest priority in all NCC activities. He urged the staff and officers to leverage technology for improving efficiency, communication, and transparency in training and administrative processes. Cmde Jose Vikas briefed the ADG on the Ernakulam Groupโs initiatives, achievements, and outreach programmes, including efforts to enhance youth participation, community engagement, and the integration of modern instructional tools.
