Lieutenant General Sumer Ivan D’Cunha, SM, PhD, Director General Army Air Defence and Colonel Commandant, Army Air Defence, visited the AAD Regiment of the renowned Carpe Diem Brigade at Bathinda Military Station.
During the visit, Lt Gen D’Cunha reviewed the regiment’s training and operational preparedness, commending the troops for their exceptional professionalism, equipment readiness, and adherence to the highest standards of military efficiency. He was briefed on the latest advancements in air defence systems, tactical deployments, and ongoing modernization efforts aimed at enhancing the Army’s layered air defence capabilities.

Interacting with all ranks, the Director General lauded their unshakable resolve, dedication, and commitment to safeguarding the nation’s skies. He emphasized the pivotal role of the Army Air Defence in countering evolving aerial threats and integrating advanced sensor and weapon systems to ensure a robust defensive shield.
