Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, visited forward areas in the Garhwal sector to assess the operational preparedness of formations deployed in the high-altitude region.

During the visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops and commended their commitment to maintaining a strong and dependable border posture despite the challenging terrain. He also lauded the formationโs initiatives toward green energy adoption and sustainable practices, noting their significance for long-term endurance in extreme altitudes.

Lt Gen Sengupta additionally toured the border village of Jadang, and held interactions with residents in Dharali and Harsil. He reviewed the ongoing rehabilitation work and assured local communities of continued support to improve infrastructure and enhance overall living conditions.
