Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan addressed trainee officers at the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT), delivering a comprehensive lecture on National Security Architecture and Higher Defence Management.
During his interaction, the CDS emphasised the growing importance of a Defence Technology Management framework to enhance interoperability, strengthen joint capabilities, and enable faster, technology-driven decision-making across the services.
He urged the young officers to remain technologically agile, operationally focused and professionally steadfast as they prepare to contribute to India’s ongoing defence transformation.
General Chauhan also engaged with triservice officers, discussing joint preparedness, emerging operational challenges, and the evolving nature of modern warfare. He appreciated MILIT’s systems-based Defence Technology Education model, which he said plays a crucial role in fostering critical and analytical thinking among future military leaders.
