Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DGEME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, visited Vajra Corps, where he interacted with soldier-technicians and reviewed cutting-edge capability development initiatives.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sahni inspected the Mass Drone and Fixed-Wing Fabrication Facilities, commending the Corps’ “techno warriors” for their precision, professionalism and mission-focused innovation. He observed how soldier-engineers are driving rapid indigenous development by converting frontline operational needs into deployable combat capabilities.

The DGEME also visited the Army Hockey Node, appreciating the Corps’ commitment to promoting sporting excellence alongside technical proficiency.

Lt Gen Sahni lauded the formation for its relentless efforts in enhancing operational readiness and strengthening field formations through self-reliant, technology-driven solutions—reflecting the Indian Army’s broader push towards indigenous innovation and future-ready capability development.
