The prestigious Commando Course of the Indian Army culminated at the Jungle and Jungle Warfare Wing (JL Wing) on December 25, 2025, marking the successful completion of one of the Army’s most mentally gruelling and physically demanding training programmes.
The course saw participation from the Indian Army as well as Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC), with 16 officers and five Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) successfully completing the rigorous training, underscoring India’s strong military-to-military cooperation with partner nations.

The valedictory address was delivered by Maj Gen Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, Commander, JL Wing, who congratulated the trainees for their resilience, grit, and combat readiness, and felicitated the awardees.
Among Indian Army trainees, Lt Jai Lamba of the Rajput Regiment was adjudged the Best Officer Trainee, while Lance Naik Jeewan Singh Karki of the Naga Regiment was named the Best NCO Trainee.

Among FFC participants, Lt Sudip Khadka of the Nepal Army was adjudged the Best Officer Trainee, while Corporal Evalistus Booysen of the Namibia Defence Force earned the distinction of Best NCO Trainee.

The successful culmination of the course reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to elite combat training, joint learning, and international military cooperation, producing leaders capable of operating effectively in the most challenging operational environments.
