AMC Centre & College has successfully conducted the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Course for the third consecutive time, further strengthening the Armed Forces’ capability in battlefield and emergency trauma care.

In the latest iteration of the internationally recognised ATLS programme, 32 Medical Officers were trained in advanced trauma management protocols. With this course, the total number of officers trained under the ATLS framework at the institution has crossed 96, firmly establishing the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College, as a credible and reliable ATLS training site.

Officials said the achievement reflects a sustained commitment to excellence, standardisation, and preparedness in military medical training. The ATLS programme equips medical officers with critical decision-making skills and evidence-based approaches essential for managing trauma cases in operational and high-risk environments.

The successful conduct of the course underscores the Armed Forces Medical Services’ focus on enhancing operational medical readiness, ensuring that trained personnel are capable of delivering timely, life-saving care during combat operations, disasters, and emergencies.
The initiative directly contributes to strengthening the Armed Forces’ overall medical capability, reinforcing the role of structured, world-class training in supporting mission success and soldier survivability.
