Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command, visited the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) at Dehradun on 02 February 2026.
During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed various training and academic facilities and appreciated the institution’s progressive training initiatives and recent advancements in infrastructure. He commended RIMC for continuously evolving its systems to meet contemporary training and educational requirements.

Lt Gen Sharma lauded the college for providing a fine balance of academic excellence, sporting prowess, and character development, which plays a pivotal role in shaping young cadets into future leaders of the Armed Forces. He noted that RIMC continues to remain a cornerstone institution in nurturing discipline, leadership, and a strong sense of national service among its cadets.

Interacting with the faculty and cadets, the Army Commander encouraged them to remain focused and determined in their pursuit to chase their dreams. He highlighted the uniformed services as a noble, honourable, and purposeful profession, calling upon the cadets to uphold the highest values of integrity, dedication, and selfless service to the nation.
