Military Hospital, Bhuj marked a significant milestone in holistic healthcare with the launch of PRAYAS, a Speech Therapy Centre, along with a comprehensive Wellness Centre integrating Yoga (Nirvana), Ayurveda (Aarogya), and psychological counselling. The initiative brings modern medical care together with India’s timeless wellness traditions under one roof, creating an inclusive healing ecosystem for children with special needs and their families.

The new facilities aim to provide compassionate, multidisciplinary care focused on physical, emotional, and developmental wellbeing. By combining evidence-based therapy with traditional practices, the centres are designed to support long-term rehabilitation, resilience, and quality of life, particularly for young patients requiring specialised and sustained care.

Komal Seth, Regional President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (Southern Star), closely interacted with children with special needs and their parents during the visit. She highlighted the inclusive facilities and new opportunities created to nurture each child’s growth, confidence, and learning journey, while reaffirming the community’s commitment to family-centric support.

The initiative underscores the Indian Army’s continued focus on welfare-oriented healthcare, especially in remote and border regions, by fostering integrated solutions where compassion meets care and modern medicine aligns with holistic wellbeing.
