Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, visited a strategically critical ammunition echelon to validate its operational readiness, ammunition management practices and safety architecture vital for sustaining combat power.

During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed robust measures to counter emerging Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) threats, while ensuring seamless availability of ammunition for rapid operational induction. He inspected key explosive storehouses, assessing technical preparedness and strict adherence to established safety and security protocols.

Lt Gen Seth commended the unit for its steadfast focus on building a secure, resilient and future-ready ammunition ecosystem, aligned with the evolving character of modern warfare. He emphasised that reliable ammunition logistics and uncompromising safety standards remain central to generating decisive combat capability whenever called upon.
