Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited Basantgarh following the successful culmination of Operation KIYA, which resulted in the neutralisation of two terrorists.
During the visit, the Army Commander commended the formation for its swift, precise and well-coordinated operations, carried out in close synergy with all stakeholders. He noted that the operation reflected a high degree of operational integration and effective intelligence-to-action execution.
Interacting with the troops on ground, Lt Gen Sharma appreciated their commitment, professionalism and steadfast resolve in maintaining security and working towards a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
The visit reinforced Northern Command’s continued focus on operational excellence, inter-agency synergy and sustained vigilance to counter terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the region.
