Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, witnessed the Black Mace Brigade showcase New Generation Equipment (NGE) and New Technology Equipment (NTE) during Exercise Rudra Shakti–2026, highlighting a decisive shift towards future-ready, technology-driven warfare.

The exercise featured advanced drones, loitering munitions and indigenous R&D innovations, including drone jammers, repair platforms and AI-enabled enemy drone detection systems, underscoring a transformational leap in the Indian Army’s combat capability. The demonstrations reflected accelerated progress in Atmanirbharta and rapid technology absorption under the Army’s Decade of Transformation.

The Army Commander observed live kamikaze drone strikes and precision munition delivery executed by in-house developed platforms, showcasing enhanced stand-off lethality, battlefield dominance and the ability to counter emerging threat vectors across the spectrum of conflict.

Commending the formation’s innovation-driven approach, Lt Gen Seth emphasised that rapid technology integration and indigenous capability development are central to building a future-ready force, capable of meeting the demands of high-intensity, multi-domain warfare.
