Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, Director General Border Roads (DGBR), reviewed ongoing infrastructure works under Project Udayak in the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh, reaffirming the strategic importance of border connectivity in the region.

During the visit, the DGBR assessed the progress of critical road and infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing mobility, operational logistics and connectivity in challenging high-altitude and remote terrains. He was briefed on engineering efforts, timelines and measures being undertaken to overcome geographical and climatic constraints.

Lt Gen Harpal Singh commended Border Roads Organisation (BRO) personnel for their grit, dedication and professionalism while executing complex projects in demanding conditions. He lauded their contribution to strengthening national security through improved border infrastructure.

Urging all ranks to sustain momentum, the DGBR emphasised the need to accelerate construction activities and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency, underscoring the BRO’s vital role in nation-building and strategic preparedness along India’s borders.
