Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited 3 EME Centre, Bhopal, where he was briefed on the Centre’s major training initiatives and recent infrastructure upgrades designed to deliver holistic Basic Military Training to Agniveers.
During the visit, the Army Commander was apprised of the structured training modules that aim to build a modern, capable and confident fighting force. The Centre has been focusing on integrating contemporary training methodologies with upgraded infrastructure to ensure that Agniveers receive comprehensive grounding in military skills, discipline, and professional standards.

Lt Gen Seth commended the Centre for its emphasis on leveraging technology to prepare troops for the demands of the contemporary battlefield. He noted that the incorporation of advanced training aids and modern instructional techniques reflects the Indian Army’s thrust on technology absorption and excellence in training, aligned with the ongoing Decade of Transformation.

Interacting with the Agniveers, the Army Commander lauded their exceptional mental resilience and physical robustness. He encouraged them to imbibe the rich regimental ethos, uphold time-tested traditions, and remain steadfast in discipline, professionalism, and battlefield readiness.

The visit underscored Southern Command’s continued focus on strengthening foundational military training and ensuring that newly inducted soldiers are prepared to meet evolving operational challenges with competence and confidence.
