Lieutenant General Joel B Vowell, Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific, called on Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), to advance discussions on the India–US Major Defence Partnership. The interaction reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to deepen defence ties and enhance strategic cooperation in an evolving global security environment.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed deliberations on sharing best practices in cyber security and exploring new avenues of engagement between the armed forces of the two countries. Discussions also focused on strengthening military-to-military cooperation across key domains including space, maritime security, and broader regional security frameworks.

The interaction highlighted the growing convergence between India and the United States on strategic and operational issues, particularly in maintaining a secure and stable Indo-Pacific region.
