IACCS at the Core of Operations

The Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) played a central role in coordinating operations during the exercise. The network enabled real-time command, control and situational awareness, allowing forces to respond quickly and efficiently to simulated threats.

Participation of Aircraft, Drones and Air Defence Systems

The exercise saw participation of fighter aircraft, helicopters, transport aircraft and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) from the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army.

Various Surface-to-Air Guided Weapon (SAGW) units and electronic warfare jammer systems were also integrated into both offensive and defensive operations, demonstrating the growing role of modern air defence and electronic warfare capabilities.

Key operational support functions such as logistics, maintenance, rapid runway repairs, administration, medical support and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) were also tested during the exercise. These systems ensured sustained operational capability even under adverse conditions.

Strengthening Self-Reliant Defence

Exercise ADJO-2026 also highlighted the importance of indigenous defence technologies under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reinforcing India’s ability to maintain air superiority, protect national interests and respond decisively to emerging security challenges.

The exercise marks a significant step towards future-ready interoperable joint warfighting capabilities for the Indian Armed Forces.
