The 173rd Fighter Controllers’ Course (FFC) concluded at the Air Defence College, marking the successful completion of specialised training in air defence operations.
The valedictory ceremony was reviewed by Shri Amitabh Prasad, Joint Secretary, who interacted with trainee officers and commended their dedication and performance.
The course witnessed participation from officers of the Indian Air Force as well as Friendly Foreign Countries, including Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, highlighting India’s growing role in international military training and cooperation.
During the visit, the Joint Secretary was given an overview of advanced air defence and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (Counter-UAS) training facilities at the college. These capabilities are critical in addressing emerging aerial threats, including drones and other low-observable platforms.
The successful completion of the course underscores the Indian Air Force’s commitment to developing highly skilled fighter controllers and strengthening air defence preparedness through cutting-edge training and international collaboration.
