A group of 30 Young Officers (YOs) undergoing orientation training at the Army Ordnance Corps Centre in Secunderabad visited the MCEME Secunderabad on April 8, 2026, to gain exposure to advanced military technologies and training systems.
During the visit, the officers were briefed on cutting-edge training methodologies, key indigenisation initiatives, and technological advancements being developed at MCEME. They were introduced to state-of-the-art training labs focusing on drones, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and additive manufacturing.

The briefing also highlighted MCEME’s role in supporting the sustenance and innovation of weapon systems, aviation platforms, electronic warfare equipment, and communication technologies, reinforcing its position as a premier technical training institution of the Indian Army.

The exposure is expected to significantly enhance the officers’ understanding of modern warfare technologies and the critical role of logistics, enabling them to adopt more effective strategies in inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and operational readiness in their future assignments.

The visit underscores the Indian Army’s focus on preparing its young leaders for technology-driven warfare and efficient logistics management, which are crucial for maintaining a competitive edge on the battlefield.
