Director General of the Border Security Force, Praveen Kumar, undertook a two-day visit to the Punjab Frontier on April 11–12, 2026, to review operational preparedness and interact with commanders and troops deployed along the border.

Focus on Technology-Driven Border Management
During the visit, the DG BSF inspected the BSF Artillery Headquarters and Training Centre in Faridkot and the Drone Forensic Laboratory in Amritsar, highlighting the growing importance of technology-driven surveillance and counter-drone capabilities in border security.
He urged field formations to continuously adapt to emerging threats, particularly the increasing use of drones for cross-border activities.

Engagement with Troops and Commanders
