The parade was held with pride, honour and deep respect, reflecting the gratitude of the police fraternity for his leadership and contribution to strengthening policing across the Union Territory. Senior officers and personnel of the A&N Police attended the ceremony and paid tribute to his service, guidance and commitment to the force.

During his tenure as DGP, Shri Dhaliwal led the A&N Police through several important initiatives aimed at improving crime control, strengthening anti-narcotics operations, modernising police infrastructure, enhancing personnel welfare and promoting community-oriented policing. His leadership was marked by a focus on transparent, people-friendly policing and improved operational efficiency.

One of the major highlights of his tenure was the implementation of landmark welfare measures for police personnel. These included the grant of two promotional upgradations on completion of 15 and 25 years of service, reduction of Look-Out Post guard tenure, and improvement of welfare infrastructure for personnel serving across the Islands.

The A&N Police also witnessed the first-ever installation of solar power systems at all Look-Out Posts under his leadership, a step aimed at improving working conditions and operational sustainability in remote areas. The initiative is considered significant given the geographical challenges and strategic importance of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Shri Dhaliwal’s tenure also saw a renewed emphasis on anti-narcotics enforcement and crime prevention, with the police force intensifying its efforts to ensure the safety and security of residents. His approach combined strict enforcement with public outreach, reinforcing the role of the police as both a law enforcement agency and a community partner.
