A total of 1,497 Agniveers marched with pride at the historic Chatterjee Parade Ground as they successfully completed their training at the The Sikh Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Fatehgarh, marking an important milestone in their journey as soldiers of the Indian Army.
The Passing Out Parade (POP), held after 24 weeks of intensive military training, was reviewed by Brigadier Maneesh Kumar Jain, Commandant of the Regimental Training Centre.
The training programme transformed the young recruits through rigorous physical conditioning, military discipline, weapon training, endurance exercises, and technology-enabled learning, preparing them to serve the nation with honour, courage, and commitment.

During the ceremony, Brig Jain congratulated the Agniveers on successfully completing their training and urged them to uphold the highest traditions and values of the Indian Army throughout their careers.
In a special initiative, parents of the graduating Agniveers were provided a first-hand insight into the training ecosystem of the centre. They were familiarised with the trainees’ daily routine, exposure to new-generation weapon systems, modern military technologies, and various aspects of military life.
Officials stated that the interaction allowed families to better understand the dedication, discipline, and hard work required to transform young civilians into confident and combat-ready soldiers.
The Passing Out Parade served as a powerful reminder of the opportunities available to India’s youth through the Agnipath scheme, highlighting the values of discipline, perseverance, patriotism, and selfless service to the nation.
The event concluded with the newly inducted soldiers taking their place among the ranks of the Indian Army, ready to contribute to national security and uphold the proud legacy of the Sikh Light Infantry.
