The 115th Air Traffic Management & Air Laws (Basic) Course concluded at the Air Traffic Control Officers Training Establishment (ATCOTE), located at the Air Force Academy, with 48 officers successfully graduating on June 5, 2026.
The course brought together officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and friendly foreign nations including Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Myanmar.

The valedictory function was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Vivek Gupta, Deputy Commandant of the Air Force Academy, who congratulated the graduating officers on successfully completing the demanding programme.
During the ceremony, the officers were awarded the prestigious Controllers Badge, symbolising their qualification, professionalism and responsibility as Air Traffic Controllers entrusted with ensuring the safe and efficient management of military air operations.
A significant milestone of the course was the introduction of academic instruction in Air Laws and Human Factors by faculty members from NALSAR University of Law. This marked the first time the institution collaborated with NALSAR for specialised legal and human-factor education, enriching the training curriculum with interdisciplinary expertise.
Officials noted that the course was designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills required to manage increasingly complex airspace environments and support modern military aviation operations.
The successful completion of the course highlights the Indian Air Force’s continued emphasis on professional excellence, international military cooperation and the development of highly skilled air traffic management professionals capable of supporting both national and multinational aviation operations.
