The High Commission of India in Kenya has congratulated Major Amit Kumar Dalal of the 19 Mechanised Infantry for his outstanding performance at the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course (2025–26) conducted at the Joint Command and Staff College Karen and the National Defence University Kenya.
Maj Dalal achieved the distinction of securing second overall position among 95 officers from 19 countries, reflecting exceptional academic and professional excellence in a highly competitive multinational military environment.
Adding to the achievement, the Indian Army officer was adjudged the Best Student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies programme and graduated with Distinction from the National Defence University, Kenya.

The accomplishment highlights the high standards of professionalism, military education and leadership demonstrated by Indian Army officers participating in international military training programmes.
The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course is designed to prepare mid-career military officers for higher command and staff responsibilities by providing advanced education in operational art, strategy, joint warfare and defence management.
