The Navigation Direction School celebrated a significant training milestone as 77 trainees of the Leading Qualification (Radar Plotter) Course (85:0384) successfully graduated during a Passing Out Division ceremony, marking the culmination of an intensive 10-week professional training programme.
The passing out trainees are now prepared to undertake critical navigational and operational responsibilities onboard frontline warships of the Indian Navy, contributing to the service’s operational effectiveness and maritime security mission.

The comprehensive training curriculum was designed to develop well-rounded naval professionals by imparting advanced knowledge and practical skills in navigation and direction, while also focusing on small arms firing, security protocols, mental health awareness, yoga and sports.
Throughout the course, trainees underwent rigorous professional instruction aimed at enhancing their technical competence, operational readiness and overall military ethos. The programme sought to equip them with the skills required to perform effectively in demanding maritime environments.

The Passing Out Division was reviewed by the Officer-in-Charge, who commended the trainees for maintaining high standards of discipline, professionalism and dedication throughout the course. He also presented awards to meritorious trainees in recognition of their professional acumen, academic excellence and outstanding performance during training.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the graduates as they prepare to join operational units across the Indian Navy’s fleets. Their successful completion of the course reflects the Navy’s continued emphasis on developing highly skilled personnel capable of meeting the challenges of modern naval operations.
