Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM, relinquished command of the Sapta Shakti Command on 30 June 2026 upon his superannuation, bringing to a close an illustrious military career spanning nearly four decades.
As part of the ceremonial farewell, the Army Commander paid homage to the nation’s Bravehearts at Prerna Sthal before reviewing a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Jaipur Military Station.

During his tenure, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh led the Command with distinction, maintaining a strong focus on operational preparedness, force modernisation and mission readiness across its area of responsibility.

In his farewell address, he exhorted all ranks to uphold the Command’s motto, “Forever Victorious,” continue striving for operational excellence, embrace innovation and remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the nation.

The occasion marked the conclusion of a distinguished career dedicated to the service of the Indian Army and the nation, while reaffirming the enduring traditions of leadership, professionalism and operational excellence within the Sapta Shakti Command.
