Major General Maneesh Kukrety, General Officer Commanding, Madhya UP Sub Area, delivered an insightful talk on Combat First Aid to participants of the Yodha Rakshak Combat Casualty Care Course at AMC Centre & College, Lucknow.
The session focused on the importance of battlefield readiness and the role of timely first aid in saving lives during combat situations. Addressing the participants, Major General Kukrety highlighted that in combat, every second matters and every trained responder can make a decisive difference.
Drawing from his operational experiences, he explained the critical importance of the Golden Hour in combat casualty care. He underlined that timely intervention during the initial moments after injury can significantly enhance battlefield survivability and help save precious lives.
Major General Kukrety also used real-life case studies to explain how trained first responders can support injured personnel before advanced medical care becomes available. The examples reinforced the importance of quick assessment, immediate response and practical combat first aid skills in operational conditions.
