Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Army’s Eastern Command, visited the Dipatoli and Namkum Military Stations in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he reviewed the operational preparedness of the Brahmastra Corps and interacted with officers and troops deployed in the formation. The visit underscored the Army’s continued emphasis on maintaining high levels of combat readiness, operational efficiency and professional excellence across the Eastern Command.
During the visit, Lt Gen Krishnan was briefed on the operational responsibilities, current preparedness and ongoing training activities of the Brahmastra Corps. He reviewed the formation’s readiness to respond to a wide range of operational contingencies and appreciated the efforts being made to maintain a high state of vigilance and mission capability.

The Army Commander also interacted with officers, junior leaders and troops at both Dipatoli and Namkum Military Stations. He commended them for their dedication, discipline and professionalism while carrying out their operational responsibilities and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in every aspect of military service.
Emphasising the importance of rigorous training and continuous capability enhancement, Lt Gen Krishnan urged all ranks to remain physically fit, technologically proficient and mentally prepared to meet evolving security challenges. He highlighted that modern military operations demand not only operational competence but also adaptability, innovation and teamwork.

The Army Commander reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to strengthening operational effectiveness through realistic training, leadership development and the adoption of modern technologies.
