Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth visited the Headquarters Central Command in Lucknow to review the prevailing operational preparedness and ongoing capability enhancement initiatives, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining a high state of readiness amid evolving security challenges.
During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on the Command’s operational posture, the prevailing security environment and measures being undertaken to strengthen combat effectiveness. Senior commanders presented updates on infrastructure development, force modernisation and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational capability across the Command’s area of responsibility.
General Dhiraj Seth also reviewed ongoing efforts to improve combat readiness through the integration of advanced technologies, improved operational infrastructure and capability enhancement programmes. The briefing highlighted the Indian Army’s continued focus on preparing its formations to effectively respond to both conventional and emerging security challenges.
Interacting with commanders and personnel across all ranks, the COAS commended their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security.
