Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, DGAFMS, undertook a farewell visit to the Army Dental Centre (R&R), where she interacted with officers and troops of the Army Dental Corps during a farewell tea.
During the visit, the DGAFMS reviewed the upgraded, technology-driven training facilities at the centre and took an overview of initiatives aimed at strengthening professional skills and enhancing the delivery of specialised dental care.

A key highlight of the visit was a demonstration of a 3D printer being used for precision, patient-specific applications. The technology represents the growing integration of advanced digital manufacturing capabilities into military healthcare and dental treatment.
Surg Vice Admiral Arti Sarin also witnessed a demonstration of a Virtual Dental Simulator designed to support the training of dental and para-dental personnel. The simulator provides an advanced environment for developing clinical skills and familiarising trainees with complex procedures.

The DGAFMS appreciated the Army Dental Corps for embracing innovation and adopting digital workflows and advanced training technologies. She highlighted the importance of continuously upgrading professional capabilities to keep pace with developments in modern healthcare.
She also commended the Corps for its commitment to enhancing clinical care while strengthening the operational readiness of dental and para-dental personnel.
