Major Rishabh Opens Up on Raj Shamani Podcast

During his conversation with Raj Shamani, Major Rishabh spoke candidly about why he decided to bring his military career to an early end despite having spent more than a decade in uniform.

For an officer who had dedicated around 12 years of his life to the Indian Army, walking away from the uniform was not an easy choice.

Major Rishabh explained that certain circumstances in his personal life required him to prioritise his family. Rather than being an impulsive decision, his retirement came after considerable thought and reflection.

According to him, he spent nearly four months quietly weighing his options before finally deciding to seek premature retirement.

The period allowed him to consider not only what he was leaving behind, but also what he wanted to do with the next phase of his life.

Family Came Before Career

Major Rishabh made it clear during the Raj Shamani podcast that family commitments were among the most important factors behind his decision.

Military service often demands long periods away from home, frequent postings and an unwavering commitment to duty. For Major Rishabh, changing circumstances meant that he eventually had to make a difficult choice between continuing his military career and being available for his family.

He ultimately chose to prioritise his family.

His explanation also highlights a reality often faced by military personnel — that behind the uniform are individuals who must sometimes balance the demands of service with responsibilities towards their families.

Wants to Explore His Full Potential

Retirement, however, does not mean that Major Rishabh intends to slow down.

During his conversation with Raj Shamani, he also spoke about his desire to test his limits and explore what he is capable of beyond his military career.

Having spent 12 years in the Army, he now wants to channel his experience, discipline and leadership into building something new.

He indicated that he is working towards a new venture or model through which he hopes to inspire young minds while contributing in his own way to the growth of the country.

For him, leaving the Army appears to mark the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of his journey of service.

Major Rishabh Addresses Marriage Rumours

Major Rishabh also used his appearance on the Raj Shamani podcast to address speculation circulating online about his personal life.

He clarified that his decision to retire from the Indian Army was not taken because he was getting married.

He also dismissed rumours suggesting that he planned to move abroad or marry a foreign national.

Major Rishabh confirmed that he is currently single and does not have any immediate plans to get married.

The clarification puts to rest several theories that had circulated online following news of his premature retirement.

A New Chapter After 12 Years in Uniform

Leaving the Indian Army after more than a decade of service is a significant transition, particularly for an officer whose identity and professional life have been closely connected with the Armed Forces.

Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal’s remarks on the Raj Shamani podcast make clear that the decision was neither sudden nor driven by the rumours surrounding him. It was a carefully considered choice shaped primarily by family circumstances and his plans for the next phase of his life.

After spending months deliberating over what he described as the hardest decision of his life, Major Rishabh has now turned his attention towards exploring new possibilities.

While his formal journey in uniform may have concluded after 12 years, he says his ambition to inspire young people, challenge his own limits and contribute to the country will continue in a different form.
