Bangkok, September 18, 2026: Two Indian Navy officers have received awards for outstanding academic performance during the combined graduation ceremony of the 58th Naval War College (NWC) Course and the 86th Naval Command and Staff Course (NCSC) held at the Naval Education Department in Bangkok, Thailand.
Captain Indraneel Bhardwaj, who attended the 58th Naval War College Course, was awarded for the Best Individual Research Paper in the Non-Royal Thai Navy category.
Commander Sarthak Chauhan, a participant of the 86th Naval Command and Staff Course, received recognition for Best in Staff Consideration as well as the Individual Research Paper award in the Non-Royal Thai Navy category.
The awards were presented by the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy during the graduation ceremony, recognising the officers’ performance during their respective professional military education programmes.
The recognition of the two Indian Navy officers highlights their academic and professional accomplishments while undergoing advanced naval education in Thailand.

Participation in such courses also contributes to professional exchanges and greater interaction between officers of the Indian Navy and the Royal Thai Navy, complementing the broader maritime cooperation between India and Thailand.
