The Passing Out Parade for the Medical Officers Basic Course was held at the AMC Centre & College on September 19, 2026, marking the successful completion of military and specialised medical training by the participating Medical and Dental Officers.
With the character of modern warfare rapidly evolving, the course focused on preparing officers to deliver critical medical support under demanding battlefield conditions. Training covered military ethos, prolonged combat casualty care and Advanced Trauma Life Support, equipping the officers to manage serious injuries and medical emergencies in operational environments.
The programme placed particular emphasis on providing effective casualty care in situations where immediate evacuation or access to higher medical facilities may not be possible, an increasingly important requirement in contemporary military operations.
Lt Gen J Debnath, Commandant, AMC Centre & College, reviewed the Passing Out Parade and addressed the graduating officers. He called upon them to uphold the highest traditions of the Armed Forces Medical Services and serve the nation with compassion, humility and dedication.
The ceremony marked an important milestone for the Medical and Dental Officers as they prepared to take up responsibilities across military medical establishments and operational formations, providing healthcare support to Armed Forces personnel in both peace and field environments.
