Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Department of TCL Affairs, Khonsa, organised a career counselling programme for young students at Panchayat Hall in Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh, on September 23, 2026.
The programme was organised for Class X pass-outs and college students with the objective of helping young people better understand the educational and professional opportunities available to them and make informed decisions about their future.
The Commandant of the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an interactive session for the participating students, focusing on career opportunities, higher education and different pathways that can be pursued after completing school and college.
During the session, students were encouraged to carefully assess their interests, abilities and long-term goals while choosing academic courses and career options.
The programme also sought to broaden awareness among students about the range of opportunities available beyond conventional career choices, enabling them to plan their academic and professional journeys with greater clarity.
Career guidance can play an important role for students in remote regions, where access to professional counselling and information about higher education and employment opportunities may be comparatively limited.
Through the initiative, Assam Rifles sought to provide young participants with practical guidance and encourage them to explore opportunities suited to their skills and aspirations.
The collaboration with the Department of TCL Affairs reflected a coordinated effort to support youth development in the region through education, awareness and career-oriented guidance.
