An unfortunate incident occurred onboard the Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, where the lifeless body of a 19-year-old Indian Navy sailor was discovered hanging.
The Indian Navy revealed this distressing event in the early hours of a Thursday, and they suspect it may be a case of ‘suicide.’
The authorities stated, “At first glance, it appears to be a case of suicide, and therefore, a statutory Board of Inquiry is being initiated.” Concurrently, the local police have been informed, and a case has been registered.
The young sailor, who hailed from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, was unmarried.
Investigations into the tragic incident are currently underway, and the police are diligently exploring the potential cause of the sailor’s death onboard INS Vikrant.
