In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare services for its personnel, the Indian Army unveiled a series of transformative initiatives at the Army Hospital Research and Referral (AHRR) in Delhi Cantonment.

General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), accompanied by Mrs. Archana Pande, President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), graced the occasion with their presence, underscoring the armyโ€™s unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and services.

The newly inaugurated facilities at AHRR are poised to revolutionize healthcare management, leveraging cutting-edge technology and specialized treatment modalities.

During the visit, COAS General Manoj Pande inaugurated several transformative initiatives aimed at bolstering healthcare delivery at AHRR:

  1. Radiological Information & Digital Image Networking System (RIS & DINS): This advanced system will streamline radiological services and facilitate the seamless sharing and management of digital images, enhancing diagnostic capabilities and expediting treatment processes.
  2. Expanded Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine: The expanded department will offer comprehensive rehabilitation services and specialized care for sports-related injuries, catering to the diverse healthcare needs of army personnel.
  3. Integrated Maternal and Child OPD Facility: Designed to provide holistic healthcare services for mothers and children, this integrated facility underscores the armyโ€™s commitment to promoting maternal and child health and well-being.

COAS General Manoj Pande also took the opportunity to interact with under-training military personnel from Friendly Foreign Countries, fostering camaraderie and cooperation among allied forces.

Furthermore, he commended the dedicated staff of AHRR for their relentless efforts in continuously improving patient care facilities and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
