He highlighted the crucial responsibilities of these young officers in potential conflicts, stating that they would play a pivotal role in thwarting enemy designs and preserving the nation’s territorial integrity. “High-quality training imparted at the NDA and other academies of the three services will guide you and equip you with the strength and confidence to boldly face these challenges,” he remarked.

The Air Chief Marshal lauded the NDA as a “cradle of leadership,” asserting its global stature in terms of infrastructure and quality of training. He acknowledged the unique privilege the cadets had in being educated at such a prestigious institution, which would instill a lifelong association with its values and standards. Addressing the cadets directly, he recognized their courageous decision to pursue a career in the Armed Forces, describing it as a choice to take “the route less travelled.”

As future military leaders, the newly commissioned officers were reminded of the responsibility that comes with their roles. The Air Chief Marshal stressed the need for impeccable personal conduct, professional competence, and unwavering integrity to earn the trust of those they would lead. He urged them to act fearlessly, trust their instincts, and uphold the legacy of courage demonstrated by their predecessors, allowing this valor to motivate them throughout their careers.

In terms of the parade’s statistics, 1,265 cadets participated, with 357 cadets representing the passing-out course: 215 from the Army, 301 from the Air Force, and 38 from the Navy. The event also included cadets from nine friendly foreign nations, showcasing the NDA’s international ties.

In an impressive display, 47 female cadets currently in various training terms joined the parade, underscoring the progress made in gender inclusion within the armed forces. Recognitions awarded during the event included Cadet Ankit, who secured the President’s gold medal for achieving first place in the Overall Order of Merit. Cadet Yuvraj Singh Chauhan received the silver medal, while Cadet Jodha Thongiaomayum was honored with the bronze medal for their respective standings.
