Lt Gen RC Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, visited the FPV Drone Node established at the Agnirath Brigade under the Eastern Command. During his visit, he reviewed the in-house drone fabrication facility and observed drone training activities that included advanced simulations and live flying demonstrations by the troops.
The FPV Drone Node represents a significant step towards enhancing the Indian Army’s technological edge in modern warfare. It focuses on developing indigenous drone capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and fostering innovation at the unit level. The initiative aligns with the Army’s vision of promoting self-reliance and advancing the spirit of the ‘Year of Technology Absorption’.

Lt Gen RC Tiwari appreciated the innovative approach demonstrated by the formation and lauded the enthusiasm of the personnel involved in developing and operating these systems. He encouraged the troops to continue their efforts in integrating indigenous technologies into production-related ventures, thereby strengthening the Army’s technological base and operational readiness.
